Proper ring sizing?

I just got my eRing back fromt he jewlers.  They sized it down to the size I thought I was (a 5, and they used the little size things on me too) but now it still feels too big!  It is a bit difficult to take off (which is good, I guess - I can put it on fine but have to twist a bit to take it off) but it still spins around my finger during the day.  I didn't think it was supposed to do that!

I want to take it back to the jewlers and have it taken down another half size, but then I'm afraid it will be too small. Am I just being paranoid, or is this not a proper fit?

Mine felt large when FI gave it to me but I was worried about sizing it down because of the summer and swelling.  My jeweler was able to add two small beads on the inside of the ring to make it a bit more snug - plus they keep the ring in one place. Just a suggestion

My e-ring spins around my finger a little bit also. I think that's normal. As long as it doesn't come off over your knuckle really easily I think you're good. My jeweler told me that you want to have to spin it just a little to get it off your finger, but if it's looser than that it's probably too big. If it feels like it's going to fall off and your scared it might I would get it sized, but keep in mind, like the other posts said, your finger will swell a little in warmer weather.

It sounds like your knuckles are a little bigger than the rest of your finger, like mine.  As long as it's not in danger of coming off, it's fine.  It sounds like if you size it down any more you won't be able to put it on at all!

I have the same issue with the turning. I went into the jewler and asked about it and they mentioned placing "balls" inside the band which would weigh the ring down a little and keep it from turning so often, they were priced out at $75. The other option is "squaring out the bottom" hard to explain but that costs about $400 (these are my jewlers prices). She also mentioned that during the summer your fingers warm up and that will also keep from it turning so often. I agree with others and would not change the size of your ring from what you are explaining.

When me and my FI went to pick out my ring, we knew that it would have to be resized or special ordered to fit my hands. I thought I was a 4 but turns out I am a 3.5! I was concerned about it being too small in the summer but when we went I was hot from looking at all the rings and walking around in frustration so she said that my fingers were probably swollen a little. My jeweler said that you should be able to push from the undeside of the band and have a gap at the top to be able to take it off your finger. If you can just pull it off it's too loose and you are in danger of loosing it especially when you wash your hands in water with soap.
