I just got engaged last night and the way he did it was so cute that I had to share!
We had gone to look at rings about a month ago, so I knew that it was getting semi-close, but I really didn't think he would do it for at least a few more months.
Last night after going to dinner and playing putt-putt, we stopped at an ice cream stand. We were sitting at one of the tables, and he asked me if I want to see the latest issue of his magazine? (He's an editor). I said sure so he goes to his car to get it. I start flipping through it and it opens to a page that has a picture of me and him and says 'Will you marry me?" it big letters. It didn't really register, and I was like, "Wait....what???"
He got down on one knee and asked me to marry him and of course I said yes! He actually wrote an article and some fun extras about us, and had a graphic designer at his work put it together so it looked like a real magazine story! It was glued into the magazine so it looked like it was made that way.
It was so awesome and clever and I loved it! We're going to mount the article in a picture frame, and I want to display it at the wedding reception
