My fiance' and I have been engaged since June 3rd and my parents are divorced, and both remarried. I have family scattered across the US and both of my parents want me to send out engagement announcements to our family. However, my FMIL is right in a sense because she says we have about 3 and 1/2 years to about 4 years till we get married. My mother is pushing this wedding and I am so excited because I WANT to begin planning, yet I understand that its too early to start planning...but are my parents right to send out engagement announcements to my family?
