My fiance and I have been together for 10 years but he got me a ring in our first year. Kinda proposed to me in a letter bought the ring later and came in the house and threw it at me..I griped about it for a couple of years and he traded it in and got another one to shut me up..somehow I ended up taking it off and till this day I dont know what happened. Finally after me saying if we dont get married by a certain date i'm out of here. He gets a ring(one of my taste this time) and proposes at midnight on christmas eve while wrapping presents he pretends to fall and hurt his knee and pops the big question. Nothing special just "Will you marry me?"..I of course said yes thinking "wow, thats it after all these years?"..I am more upset that he didnt attempt to go out the way to make it special being how long we've been together and everything that we've gone through..very upset actually. Ironically, the ring fit that night but the next morning my finger was swollen and i couldnt get it off. So, now it needs to be resized. I',m just wondering why I am not excited and really kind of feel like it never really happened. Then both of our family members asked how it was done and then when I told them, everyone's response is the same as mine...like oookaaay,,thats it??..I just wish that he'd learn to be more romantic after all this time of hearing me wine about it. That is honestly the only problem I have. We dont do couple things or spend quality time togther. Should I even marry him if he is not taking heed to these things..Advice is greatly appreciated.
