I have to admit, my fiance (whoa, first time typing that) and I picked the ring out together. We had it specially designed and everything based on what I wanted. FI was very sweet and said whatever made me happy. We got the ring and before he proposed he let me verify it was what I envisioned and- it wasn't. I was torn on what to do. I knew because I designed the ring I was not hurting FI's feelings
Fast forward to the proposal and wearing the ring for 3 days now and LOVE it. Cannot imagine a different ring, it is exactly what I wanted.
I tell FI that it maybe I felt that way because it was not "my ring" yet
