My boyfriend of 3 years and 3 months proposed on his 30th birthday which was December 26th!
So here's the story:
I decided to do something really big for my boyfriend (now fiancée) 30th birthday. So I booked a 8 day, 7 night vacation to the Dominican Republic for he and I to celebrate his birthday and Christmas.
So after being on the Dreams Resort for 3 days, I planned a really nice birthday surprise for him at one of the restaurants near the ocean. Myself, some of the staff and other vacationers threw him a birthday party/celebration after his dinner.
After all the birthday stuff was done, he was still very excited. He kept saying "that was great! And my cake was cool." (Of yeah, I ordered him a cake too.)
So when we got back to our deluxe swim out room, he asked me to start video recording him explaiining to our friends and family what we did today.
After thanking me several times for such a great 30th birthday, he starts walking towards the vanity and pulls out a hug jewlery box, starts kneeling on one knee and then asked "Will you marry me?"
Keep in mind, I was video recording him, so I'm not totally aware of what is happening but when I do realize, I stopped the camcorder and got down on the floor with him and said "are you serious?" I then hurried to say "yes!" and he then placed my ring on my finger.
I was and I am still so HAPPY, EXCITED and GRATEFUL.
So here is my 2nd best friend....
