I'm new to this site. Just got engaged on christmas eve. I knew it was coming because I knew I was getting the ring, but didn't know if it was an engagement ring or a promise ring. then my fiance told me that he wanted to speak to my parents. So i knew it was going to be an engagment ring. So i knew i was getting my engagment ring during christmas just didn't know when or how.
come christmas eve, i picked my fiance up so we could go to my parents house, and the first thing he did in the privacy of his own room, got down on his knees and asked to marry him.
Even though it wasn't what traditional happens, i was still happy. Can't believe we're getting married now.
