Me and my sweetheart have known each other our whole life and became great friends a few years ago, we have now dated for close to two. He just proposed last Saturday on Mackinaw Island! It is such a beautiful, unique spot in our state with no cars and beautiful scenery of the great lakes. It was such a wonderful day, we rode our bikes around the entire island and really enjoyed our time together. We went to the Grand Hotel later in the evening and toured it and some of the movie spots in Somewhere in Time. Later we went outside and down into the hotel's beautiful flower gardens where there is also fountain. He took me there to a bench and he went down on one knee. What he said was so sweet and he picked out an absolutely gorgeous ring! It was a big surprise and all my family knew because they helped him. It was perfect weather, and a perfect day, spot, and moment. I couldn't have asked for anything better. We are so excited to get married next year!
