A few weeks before his birthday, my boyfriend started asking for a Blizzard cake for his birthday celebration. As some background, we visit Dairy Queen every year on vacation and use it as bragging rights when we make bets (Loser buys Dairy Queen!)
We planned to go out to dinner with my parents one night and then stop by Dairy Queen to look at the cakes and have dessert. While at dinner, Leo mentioned that his parents were in the area and wanted to meet us for dessert. When we got to the restaurant, Leo suggested we look at the cakes in the case. Little did I know, he had planned ahead and had a special cake made for me. As I was looking, I saw a cake that said "Will You Marry Me?" on it and didn't realize it was for me until I saw Leo down on his knee next to me.
Not only was it a creative way to propose, he made sure that both sets of parents were with us (without me figuring out what was going on!)
