After dating my fiance for almost five years now, he finally popped the question! i cant believe it still. I was beginning to think it would never happen!
So here's our story:
Corey asked me one wednesday to go to dinner with him friday night. As a hairstylist i can never do anything last minute. i was already booked that night and told him we'd have to do dinner another night. He seemed bummed but said okay. When i got to work the next morning i noticed my appointment for friday had cancelled. I was so exxcited considering we never go to dinner anymore (new puppy).
So friday came and i was excited to go to dinner. When i got home from work Corey told me to get ready. He told me we had reservations and that i needed to dress nice because the restaurant had a dresscode. (ive never been to a restaurant that needed reservations let alone a dress code lol) so needless to say i was a little nervous.
We go to the restaurant which is in the top of a hotel sitting on the river here in Louisville. it was gorgeous. the sun was starting to set and the view was amazing. When we reached the hostess stand they said "the rest of your party has arrived" which confused me. when we got to our table i was surprised to see 20 of our closest friends and family. he gave me a dozen roses and started with his speech. i dont remember much of it though lol and then he got on one knee and asked me to be his wife. i couldnt believe i cried. im not a crying type. Having our friends and family (especially my twin sister) there made for the most amazing night of my life. Then my sister let on that Corey had called my boss and had her move the appointment that was originally schuduled for that night. She informed me that i had to squeeze her in on my off day. Small price to pay for my engagement!
