Does my E-Ring fit right?

Hey ladies, first of all, i am MADLY in love with both my FI and my E-Ring.  I am not a jewelry person and this is the only real piece I have ever worn on my finger.  I think it fits well...it doesn't fall off, i have shaken my hand for ever and it doesn't come past my knuckle, but it does spin around a bit and comes off easily enough when I try...is this a good fit or should it be tighter? Thanks!!

Re: Does my E-Ring fit right?

  • If your ring spins on your finger during the day, it's probably about a half a size too big. You can go to any jeweler or department store that sells jewelry and ask to be sized for free. Then you'll know for sure if you need to have it sized.

I would definitely recommend having it sized because you don't want to risk losing it. I know mine feels like it could slide off when I wash my hands sometimes, etc.

My diamond used to always spin around to face my palm- so I feel ya. I went back to the jeweler and they installed these two little balls to keep it in place- a ring guard will also work. It definitely spins around less. Every once it a while, it still spins though- maybe I retain water sometimes, I don't know haha.
  • My rings spin but when I get really hot, workout, or fly my fingers swell so I wouldn't get mine any tighter.  I would wait out this summer and see if your fingers do the same.

  • My e-ring will spin through out the day as well, but it doesn't slip over my knuckle easy. If yours comes off fairly easy then you may want to go have it resized.
  • My e-ring fits just like yours does. I feel like it could definitely be sized a half size smaller but for some reason I just didn't want to do it even though I accidentally pulled it off in a movie theater when we first got engaged and it flew a few rows in front of me (talk about panic). I don't care that it turns, I just didn't want it to slip off. What I decided to do was to buy my wedding band a half size smaller and I wear it after my e-ring. It doesn't turn as much and I'm no longer afraid it will fall off.

  • Thank you!! I feel much better! Love the advice about getting the W band a half size smaller...and it is spring like weather out so I will also wait and see how it does in the summer months.

    Thanks so much!!
