I am thinking about staying here for my HM. I have Starwood points, and thus am tied to a Westin, W, etc. I was originally thinking St. John or St. Maarten -- now leaning most toward St. John -- but from many review, etc., it sounds like the Westin over there is awful, old and in need of major renovations!
The W at Vieques looks ah-mazing, but it seems it is a very quiet island with not much to do. Wondering if anyone knows how it compares to St. John. We are not big party people, mostly want to sportfish, kayak, explore beaches, horseback ride, eat, shop, but don't want to be bored. Is Vieques much quieter/empty than St. John? How are the beaches there?
