Need some advice from those of you with both platinum and white gold e-rings.
I am recently engaged and my finance gave me a platinum e-ring. Within the first week- I bent the ring at the bottom- it's not noticeable when on but once its off you can see the bending with the naked eye. I actually did it myself when travelling- holding the heavy luggage bent the ring.
Now I have been debating if I should switch out the metal from platinum to white gold- the jeweler told me it is less likely to bend like that if I use white gold.
Price issues aside-- I am interested in hearing your experiences with both platinum and white gold- what has bent what hasn't bent- what has more maintenance etc.?
