reception and church

Hi, my name is Jennifer and I'm getting married on November 13, 2010 in Canfield Ohio. I was wondering if anyone has ever had an experience with Avion on the Water in Canfield for a reception? Also, I just moved up here from Pittsburgh and am looking for a Catholic church to become a parishioner and have our wedding there. Thank you very much in advance for any help!

No advice, as I'm a former Pittsburgher as well, but I just wanted to say congratulations and good luck! :)

I know people who have had their reception there and we looked into it but did not book.  I have heard decent things overall but I know one bride who was stressed because their contract allows them to up the prices.   Where in Pittsburgh are you from?  I am actually looking at moving there within a year.

Thank you for all of the warm wishes. I'm actually from North Hills (Ross Township) it's north of the city. Thank you for telling me about them being able to up the prices that's really good to know. Jen

Any place that doesn't lock in the prices can do that though.  I am already married but if I was going to look into it again 2 places I would look into more would be Tiffany's on 82 and Mill Creek Park on the bottom floor of the Davis Center.  If you use the place you get exclusive access to certain areas that you otherwise do not get that would be great for pictures.North Hills has really improved the mall there.

St. Michael's on Rt. 46 is a really nice church. Not huge, the priest is really nice too. Unfortunately I don't have any info on Avion on the Water.
