Introduction
I've been lurking here for a bit and thought I'd introduce myself. My FI and I have been together a little over three years and he proposed to me on 11/18/12. Though we both knew we wanted to get married and had been casually talking about it, the proposal was a big surprise to me. We had spent the day running errands together and then he said he wanted to take me up South Mountain (which is a popular hiking/biking spot) to show me the route he rides his bike. When we got to the top, it was just about sunset and we sat and talked about random stuff and watched the sun set. We watched the lights of the city come on below as we continued to talk. He told me how much he loves me and that I'm his best friend. Then he pulled out the ring and asked me to be his wife! I was so surprised and even more surprised once I got a look at the ring and he told me it was his grandmother's. We are planning for a March 2014 wedding, with a vintage/elegant/romantic feel. I am so excited to be married to my best friend!
