Hi everyone! My name is Jennifer and I just got engaged to my fiance (!) last night. We have been together for 6 years and are very excited to get married. We live in Houston and yesterday we got some snow which is very unusual. Even though it was minimal and wasn't sticking very much a lot of businesses were letting people go home early. FI and I both got off early and we headed to the park near our apartment to run around in the snow. We were being totally silly and goofing off when he dropped down and proposed out of nowhere. He didn't have the ring with him since he wasn't planning on proposing at that moment but he said that he was having so much fun that it just felt right.
He gave me the ring when we got back home and took me out for a really nice dinner. We haven't thought about any dates yet but there is plenty of time to figure that out. I just want to enjoy the feeling of being engaged right now. Congrats to everyone else that is also recently engaged!
