How Often Do You Clean Your Engagement Ring

Hey Ladies

I am newly engaged as of two weeks and was wondering how often everyone cleans their rings?

My fiance got jewelery cleaner from the jeweler and it works really well - but is there such a thing as cleaning it too much? I don't want to over do it if it screws up my ring.

I have been engaged for about two weeks now and I have cleaned my ring like 2/3 times per week already. I love my ring so much and I want it to shine. I use this read bottle of jewelry cleaner I got at Target. It works great. I just hope I don't over due it and mess up anything.

I clean my ring every 3 -5 days.  I spoke to my jeweler in NYC on how best to clean my ring and he said take a bowl, squirt some dishwashing liquid in it, then add hot (not boiling) water to it and then add a capful of ammonia (windex is fine).  

With an old soft toothbrush swirl the mixture around, drop your ring in there for like 2-3 mins (longer if it's really dirty) take it out and brush it all over, esp all the crevices, and then rinse under cool water.  Then take a lint free cloth (i use the cloth that comes with my sunglasses) and dry -- sometimes i use a hairdryer as a final step but you don't have to.  You should do this at least once a week.  It gets SO clean. 

I have a diamond cushion cut with a platinum micropave halo and band. Hope this helps!
