... he didn't propose on Monday.
He proposed the night before
He took me out to dinner and then asked what time my parents would be putting my kids to bed. He suggested that we stop by there on our way out to the beach to go stargazing. We got to my parents' house and sat on their sofa and started talking to them while hanging out with my two little ones.
Then, I looked up as my son was eagerly pointing toward the dining room. Out of our kitchen came all of my closest friends!! He'd arranged for them to be there.
He gave me a card and told me to read it. Inside, he'd written the most amazing note about how thankful he is to have me. Then, there was another flap I had to open. It said, "turn around."
As I turned around, he was behind me with the ring. Then, he got down on one knee and asked the question I've been so excited to hear!
We were so thrilled that we just kept hugging and kissing until one of my friends said, "Are you going to put it on her?!"
And I got my ring. It was BEAUTIFUL! He picked it out on his own. I told him I wanted white gold, but beyond that I didn't tell him anything and he chose a lovely ring.
I'm beyond thrilled!! We're planning for July, but haven't chosen a specific date yet.
