I recently moved to Tennessee to live with my now FI. We decided to head home to PA where we are both from to visit friends and family for an early Christmas and head up to NYC for my birthday. We got there and walked around the city with his parents and some of our really close friends and then headed out to central park. A few months before my FI asked me where I wanted to visit in NYC and I told him Strawberry Fields in central park. My dad and I are big music buffs and when I was little I used to ask him on a daily basis to play strawberry fields forever in the car. So I wanted to go there and see the John Lennon imagine Mosaic. We headed over there and my mother called and was begging me to tell here where we were I told her and hung up because I was so agitated that she wouldnt leave me alone. We got there and his parents wanted us to get a few pictures together standing on the mosiac. Everyone was snapping away and Pat leaned in and said "Can you imagine what it would be like if you and I got to spend the rest of our lives together." I looked at him funny and he got down on one knee, popped open the ring box, and asked me to marry him. I was so excited. Ironically my parents knew all about it and the only reason my mom called was because she thought it would have happend already. It was by far the best birthday I had and will ever have.
