Okay so me and my FI got engaged, we're not worried about telling ,my parents, but his parents are a different story. We both know they adore me and wants us happy, but he's worried that they wont be supportive. Does any one have any suggestions?
I am just looking for SUGGESTIONS or ADIVCE to help my FI tell his parents. They have a very stressed/distant relationship with one another and he has problems telling them simple things without them being hasty and jumping to conclusions.
We are relativly young ( hell be 19 in Jan and Ill be 20 in April) an dboth our parents got married at young ages as well and advise against it but this is what we want. He almost lost me in a car wreck once and we both live life like we wont be here tomorrow. We are both mature and know what we're getting into, though some of you may say if he cant tell his own parents we arent ready to get married, thats a lie, we are more than ready he is just uncomfortable around his parents.
