veil?'s

I am about to order my wedding gown through Anything Bridal and am very excited. This past weekend I tried on "the" dress again with my mother and aunt. They had me try on some veils and are just POSITIVE that I should choose a cathedral length veil. I am not sure if I really want to do this or if I even want to think about it right now. The wedding is June 5th and I think its silly to order a veil before my dress comes in. I know I need to figure out what shoes I'll be wearing soon so the length of the dress can be correct, but I think I'll wait on the whole veil thing until the dress is in and actually fits me. Opinions?TIA :-)Orysia

You can certainly wait on the veil (though keep in mind, they can take up to 3 months to come in depending on where you get it from!).  If you would prefer to have your dress come in first and fitting correctly before worrying about a veil, then do it that way.  Also, if you're not sold on the cathedral length veil, don't do it.  The veil can be a bit more obnoxious than it looks --haha-- and I'm assuming that the cathedral length is no different.  Also, cathedral lengths, IMHO, are very dramatic and might take away from an otherwise very detailed and dramatic dress.  Decide what kind of look/statement you want and go from there.  This should be your decision, not theirs.  But certainly no need to rush it just yet either  :)

you can def wait on the veil, I didn't order mine until 2 months before the wedding.  I ended up choosing a cathedral length veil, but its what I always pictured myself wearing and it made me feel like a "bride".  I had a pretty dramatic dress with some beading on the top and lace, and the sheer cathedral veil was perfect in my opinion.

You definetly have time. If I were you, I would wait until your dress comes in and then try on different style veils with your dress and then make the decision. My dress is also dramatic with the beading and I am doing a cathedral veil. When I tried it on, I just knew it was the one.

I don't know about the ordering time - but I have heard from many of my friends - that the cathedral length veil is a bit of a hassle.  Their advice to me was "unless you have always been dead set on a cathedral length veil - then DON"T do it!"   But of course, whatever you feel the most comfortable in - should be what you go with!
