Just Engaged...Now What?

I just got engaged this past weekend! I'm super happy but I have NO CLUE where to start with the planning ordeal. Any suggestions would be greatly appreciated. We are definitely doing an outdoor wedding and we are leaning towards May of 2013. That is as far as I've gotten with planning.

I'm new too and I have no idea where to start either, but if you don't have one get a Pinterest! It's the best! There are so many great ideas on there that I would have never thought of for a wedding.

The first thing you want to do is set a budget.  Be realistic.  Then decide on how many people you want and can afford to invite.  For vendors, check your local board for recs.  Happy planning.

Congrats! Def. figure out a budget and then look for venues. They are starting to fill up for 2013 already!  Happy Planning

Set a budget and a guest list.  And then start looking for reception venues, they book up quickly!

I agree with setting a budget. But you need to decide what kind of a wedding you want! Formal? Informal? Small or large? Then you can REALLy set the budget and start looking at venues. One key thing: write down any ideas you have in a journal. This way you remember them (and at he end, you can see how much they've changed!)
