"Long"-Term Engagement?

My FI and I got engaged December 12, 2009 and are getting married June 16, 2012. I thought I would be able to handle a long engagement because we dated for over four years before getting engaged, which was well worth the wait.

However, within a week I had that bridal itch. I am trying to keep myself busy and just spend the next year or so gathering ideas and saving money. It is so hard not to start planning though, so I'm with you on that one.

You're definitely not the only one feeling that way....my fiancee and I got engaged in December of 2008 and our wedding isn't until May of 2011.  Having more time allows you to plan and get things just the way you want them with less stress!
