I don't have the most romantic or perfect proposal story but I thought it was sweet.
I had been living in England for a while and met my FI while there. Yesterday he drove me to the airport so I could fly home to Wisconsin. I cried the whole way there and as we pulled into the airport car park the water works really let loose. He kept holding me saying, "Don't cry, don't cry" and after about 2 minutes of that madness he started digging in his pocket. He pulled out a little box and said, "Would it maybe make you smile if I asked you to marry me?" It worked! Through my tears I smiled and said yes!
Like I said, not the most romantic but it shows that he always wants me smiling.
