My now FI proposed the very hour we arrived in Branson on our "get away" weekend (last weekend). He didn't tell a single sole..(not even his parents) and bought the ring on a total whim earlier in the week (3 days before and it took him 20 min to pick it out!) We've been together for two years (but have known each other since HS - nearly 11 years now..) I'm so excited and so very happy! I was totally suprised and I actually cried (never thought I would..). I have a 5 year old little boy from my first marriage and my FI has basically been the "real" Dad in his little life for the last 2 1/2 years (so since he was about 2 1/2 almost 3 years old). Anyway, this go around - I have never ever been so stinkin' happy and elated as I am now.
(so sorry for beaming.. not sure if it's appropriate on the boards, I just want to tell everyone how super happy I am!!) He (and my little guy) are absolutely everything to me and I so can't wait to move forward with "us" and have a life with him.
