This is a repost because it seems my old one was deleted earlier today?
Anyway,
So I booked a trip Thailand for my girlfriend and I several months ago. She thought we were just going on a really nice vacation, but I knew this would be the time I propose to her.
We were there for a week, I didnt want to do it too early in the trip in case she may have been suspecting something, and then I told her I chartered a sunset sailboat ride for the two of us because the hotel was running a special. I also asked her if I should spend the extra 20 dollars to have a photographer take pictures of us or if she wanted us to not be bothered. She LOVED the idea because she says we have no candid pictures of the two of us together, just one taking a picture of the other usually.
We go and take the sail boat ride, the captain and his crew man, along with the photographer are on board. Btw I hired a real photographer and got everyone to play along as though this was all part of a service offered by the boat company. We sailed around for a while, checked out a small island, then as sat on the deck and looked out onto the ocean as the sun was setting I gave her a pair of keys.
She asked me, "Whats this?" I said, "They are your keys." Again she asked, "For what?" (We always talked about waiting to be engaged to move in together)..
I told her that I could not imagine my life without her and all the good that I am is because of the love she gives me, and if she would let me, I'd like to spend my life returning the favor. She said yes, cried, and we drank celebrated with champagne.
The captain captured it on video while the photographer snapped photos, so im glad this moment will be captured forever.
