We got our parents gift certificates to Pettiti's Garden Centers. Both love to garden! Other ideas: gift certificate to a restaurant, parent album of pictures from your photographer, tickets to a concert/play, weekend at a bed & breakfast, etc.

We bought our parents stained glass lamps from Studio Arts & Glass in Canton. The lady that did my nails last week said that her son & DIL got them a weekend away in Ohio Wine Country. Amish Country may be cool. Something sentimental or that plays to their tastes/hobbies can never be beat. Good luck!

We gave gift certificates to nicer restaurants -- Sergio's for my parents. (DH's parents live OOT, so we picked a similar type restaurant for them in their area.) We also gave each set of parents a parents' album of wedding pics a few weeks later. As for actual 'stuff', you could do a digital photo frame with pics (not just wedding ones either) loaded onto it.

My parents love to vacation in Hocking Hills so we got them a gift certificate to their favorite cabins there. My hubby's parents live in NY and are huge Yankee's fans so we got them really great seats to a Yankee's game. We also got each really nice picture frames that we are going to give them prints from the wedding for. I might also do an album of the wedding for them but haven't decided on that yet.
