Dress pressing - tulle?

Hi Ladies! I had my dress altered at Julianne's, and Denise said that since my dress has a tulle overlay, I might have difficulty getting it pressed, since steam can melt tulle. Have any of you heard of this being a problem? Have you had tulle as the top layer of your dress, and if so, where did you get it pressed? Any advice would help! TIA!

I also had my dress altered by Denise.  We got my dress pressed at the sunshine cleaners that they have a coupon for there.  I gave them my dress, my crinny and my veil and they pressed all of them... so the last two are tulle and I had no issue.

I have pressed tulle before-- not on a dress though.  I just layed it on top of a white towel, misted it with water, layered on another white towel, and ironed at a progressively warmer setting until I found the lowest temp that would actually work.   This was only for a tulle swag, though.  Hopefully the pros can come up with a good plan.
