My fiance and I have been engaged for 3months and our wedding date is 06/21/2014. We are so stuck on where to start with planning. We have a wedding party invite list, colors, song list, and type of wedding set. What else is a basic wedding planning first? We are really stuck and so confused

    Wise words from PPs.  ENJOY this time - just enjoy it.  You have so much time to plan.  If and when you are ready to get started, these are the key factors to keep in mind:

    - Budget, as jcbsjr eloquently put it
    - Guest list size, somewhat constrained by budget, and also affects what options you might have for venues
    - Venue

    Once you have those key things set, the rest falls into place around it -- planning for colors / vision / dress / decor is much easier to do when you can envision it in a tangible place & time.

    My advice is to just enjoy this time.  This will be the shortest part of your relationship so enjoy it while you can.  

    Your wedding is three years away so collect as many ideas as you can but remember your tastes can change and probably will.  Definitely talk with your FI about budget.  If your parents and/or his parents have offered to contribute money that's great but if they haven't then start a separate savings account and start saving.

    Thanks for the advice. We have set our budget @ $15,000. WE are just gonna relax and enjoy and just think of ideas.
