I'm currently studying to be one, but I got the dreaded email today about what specialization I want to do.
The choices are Birth-5 and Birth-8.
My problem is that the one I want to do (Birth-8) is on the main campus, which is 1.5 hours away. I would be extremely difficult for me to get there (I'm sure I COULD make it work but it's not ideal).
So I guess my question is - what did you specialize in, if anything. And do you think just taking the Birth-5 would affect my chances of being a grade 1-2 teacher? The classes for both programs are almost identical except for an extra science, math and two or three other classes.
I'm sure these are questions for my advisors, but I thought I'd ask anyways.
