Pregnant guests

Hi everyone, Sorry one more question and I knew this would be the best place to come for ideas/opinions:Here's the scenario:  If you were pregnant and a guest at a wedding, what are some things that you think would help you get through the night and possibly help you be a bit more comfortable?TIA!

I am currently pregnant and attended a wedding in late July.  I honestly cannot think of anything that I needed to make me feel more comfortable.  As long as you have some caffeine-free pop (sprite or 7-Up) available at the bar, I think you will be good to go.  We left a little bit earlier than we normally would because I was tired, but otherwise we had a really good time at the reception.  HTH

I was 8 mos pg when I attended a wedding 2 summers ago. My DH was a groomsman in it. I didn't really need anything special. As long as there's somewhere to sit down for a bit, if needed, that's pretty much it. I wasn't avoiding caffeine when I was pg, but some women do, so the pp suggestion of a decaf soft drink (and decaf coffee) on hand is a good one. IMO, a pg guest will bring what she needs (anti morning sickness remedy if she has that issue, wear comfy shoes, etc) for her situation. How pg is the guest you expect and is she having special medical issues along with it? (My pg was an easy one.)

I'm 5 months pregnant and was at a wedding last week. The one thing that I think would have made me more comfortable is if they would have had more seating near the dance floor. It was just the way their reception space was set up...I couldn't sit on a chair and be able to see the dance floor. So I ended up sitting on some steps, or else I would have been totally alone at my table. And the steps were not the most comfortable thing...

Thanks!  You guys are great!  Well, I'm debating a few things: 1.  I was going to put together "mommy to be" bags for the expecting ladies at the reception and was planning on putting slippers, tums, juice, gingerale, Cheryl cookies (blue & pink) & other snacks in them.  I just wanted to give them something extra special because I know they're not in the most comfortable state, but FI and I really appreciate them coming.  Any other suggestions for the  bags would be great!!!2.  We have the choice of using Chiavari chairs or the simple white paded folding chairs w/ a cover and sash (reception is at the Courthouse - we're using TOE for our caterer).  I don't know how comfortable the folding chairs are and I'm worried about people sitting in them the whole night.  I think the Chiavari chairs have more padding, but they are a bit more of an expense.  Can anyone speak to the comfort of the TOE folding chairs and/or chiavaris?Any sugguestions or thoughts?TIA!

About the chairs-- check out the chiavaris before you rent them.  Chiavaris usually come without padding, or with very thin pads that are more for looks than comfort.  I've never been pregnant but imagine a comfy chair, foot stool, and comfy slippers would be high on my list of necessities. And if your prego guests are like the prego guest at my bridal shower, you'll need strong coffee with nutrisweet, and menthol cigarettes. Not kidding, unfortunately.  ;)

I've never heard of doing special bags for pregnant guests. It's very nice of you - but unnecessary (IMO)Like a pp said, as long as you have food and some sprite and/or water available you're good to go!!!
