New and Excited

My fiance and i got engaged last dec. (december 24th) and are planning out wedding for 2013 when we are more financially stable. I will be in school for PhD in clinical psychology (3rd year=master thesis) and he will be working on his teaching certificate. We are excited about finally being married after 5 1/2 years of dating and he is nervous that I will start going nuts from planning (somewhat a perfectionist) and doing my PhD. Does anyone have any tips for doing it all and then some? Any advice for being able to fit everything in?

Maybe try planning as much during summer breaks, spring breaks, etc. to keep your work and stress limit down during school.  Weekends of planning may be a stress relief from school stresses, too.  If you think of planning as a hobby until the wedding rather than a stress it might help.

thanks. those are some really good ideas. my fiance and I have already started looking online for venues, invitations, etc for ideas that we like for our wedding to start getting an idea. I do enjoy planning things out, but my fiance's paranoid ill become bridezilla, so we are going somewhat slowly since it is years away
