My optometry clinic schedule for the summer just came out today, and I've been worried about my rotations all month. There are five 3-week sessions, and I had to have two of them. One ended on the wedding day, and another started on the first day of the honeymoon. FI and I scheduled both events well before last month, thinking that our own wedding would be enough of an excuse to not have those two rotations (since that's how things usually work with the administration at my school). As it turns out, the woman in charge of the schedule did not agree.
An hour ago, I called to tell FI that my two rotations were during the wedding and honeymoon. We were both so bummed, but then he hung up when I said "April Fools! I got my first choice!" Then he was really excited when he called back to congratulate me.
Yay! I can breathe again and continue planning!
