Graduation is coming :)

I'm so stoked! We had 'Grad Finale' last night at school, which is where seniors order their announcements, cap and gowns, and have formal photos taken...that sort of thing. After the realization that Spring Break for us is NEXT week (where has the time gone?!) and getting my order in for my cap and gown...it hit me! I'm going to walk in 2 months and 2 days! After walking I still have two more classes to take over the summer, but still- It is going to be like a giant weight has been lifted off of my shoulders...
And now I am seriously thinking about Graduate School, maybe starting next Jan. or next fall...
Anyone else super excited to be done?

Re: Graduation is coming :)

  • Yes!  I finally graduate from medical school in May!
  • I can't wait till May 1. It will be a relief to have school behind me and truly be able to focus all of my free time on wedding stuff.

Grad school is an option for me too, but my boss recently just made a comment to me: " Remember to enjoy your first year of marriage" and it truly made me think about when I should start. She is getting married this month and was going to start taking Doctoral classes in the summer and she got that piece of advice that she passes on to me. So I figured I'd share it with you all too.
  • Oh yeah!! I graduate on June 3 and I just can't wait! I'm really looking forward to decorating my cap. :)
  • AH! I know May 1st. I absolutely cannot wait. BBA and Mrs. all in 8 days!

May 13th I'll be finished with graduate school! I cannot wait to have this thesis complete and being able to really enjoy my evenings and weekends without thinking "oh, I should really be working on my paper right now instead of______ (insert something fun)".

Congrats everyone! The hard work WILL pay off in the end!

P.S. Anyone who is considering grad school: I say go for it! If you really love studying something you are passionate about, grad school is for you. In my experience, I rarely had a test on what I was learning - it was more about applying your knowledge to real life, rather than retaining the information for a short period of time...but then again, I'm getting my M.A. in Counseling. :)
  • I am on one hand totally ecstatic to be graduating from medical school in May but on the other terrified of residency and all of that entails!
