Paper writing! (And other midterm woes)

Sooooo I'm totally procrastinating on writing my paper right now. Oops. I don't feel too bad, though, because I'm on my 8th page, and the minimum page amount is 12. Not too far off! On the other hand, the maximum page limit is 20... which is a lot. My paper won't be nearly that long.

I really should be working on it, though, because this is the last big assignment before fall break. ^_^ Of course, it's due tomorrow, but if I don't finish it tonight (which I may or may not... I mean, I'm a pretty fast writer), then I'll just get up fairly early and finish it tomorrow before and between classes. It's not due until around 4 anyway.

How are things going for everyone else? What big assignments do you have right now? Anyone else on fall break this weekend?

Fall break, too...mostly wedding planning but I have more homework than I can contemplate, as well...ah!

No fall break for me... I don't have any midterms until December, because all my courses are full year credits this year.

But I do have papers coming up. Once November hits, that's all I'll be doing, except I'll still have to do readings! 3 papers at the end of November/early December (span of a week) in my political science classes so that will be interesting.

I always hate the time before midterms because all I can think about is how much work I HAVE to get done eventually, and I can't fathom doing all of it in time. Yet somehow I get it done...

It's for a Nineteenth Century American Fiction course that I'm in. I wrote on the authenticity of Emerson's Transcendentalism. The main idea behind the paper is that a lot of scholars seem to think that Emerson merely took European Romanticism (particularly British Romanticism, translated to Emerson through Coleridge) and remade it into American Transcendentalism. When I first started researching, I felt this way also, but by the time I was done, I decided to refute this notion in my paper.

Oh, and P.S. my paper ended up being 18 pages, including my works cited page. :-)

whoa, here I am complaining of finishing up my 3 page paper while you are talking about your 18 page paper! lol....I have just totally procrastonated on this paper and it is due in 3 hours...I have 1.5 pages. for some reason, i can't get in to this topic. It's about  the state of Texas health expenditures....I've had writers block for the past 3 hours-which is why I am on the knot....
