Ordained Online?

Just wondering if Ohio allows ordained ministers to marry couples. In Nevada, it's not allowed. A friend of my FI and I has agreed to get ordained online and marry us. We don't particularly want a stranger to marry us and we both agreed that it would be much more meaningful to have someone who knows us both perform the ceremony. So, if you know anything about whether or not Ohio allows this, I'd be grateful for any info!

yes they allow it. but The minister must first register with the Ohio Secretary of State and complete their application before performing marriage. The application costs $10 and the minister must submit proper credentials with original signatures from their church. They have to be licensed by the state (after getting ordained online or w/e) =)
