Very Stressed....

I'm working, going to school, taking care of my son, my home, all at the same time while trying to plan a wedding. It's like every thing cannot get my full attention and I'm only able to give what I can in so many areas. How can I balance this more without being overwhelmed. I noticed I am eating entirely too much and gained 19lbs in a month and a half due to the heavy course work I picked up (taking 18 credits, 5 classes) and Math is stressing me out the most. I don't have a wedding coordinator due to a lot of my friends away at school, I'm literally by myself trying to plan everything but because I'm on a tight budget I really want to book a room for my ceremony and reception by the end of December since I'm an 11/11/11 Bride and that date seems to book pretty fast....HELP!!!!

Re: Very Stressed....

  • Just try to calm down, for starters. Take some deep breaths.

Next, make sure you prioritize. Your son should probably come before anything else. Go from there. Figure out what is most important, and figure out what needs to be done by when.

Since you have a LOT of time until your wedding, you can take things fairly slowly. Go ahead and focus first on where things will happen. Maybe you can get a deal someplace. I got really lucky with my ceremony/reception site. My dad is a pastor, and between that and me being a member at my church, we're able to get the sanctuary for the ceremony and the Family Life Center for our reception for free. Is there anything like that you can do?

You say a lot of your friends are away at school. Are any of them still in the area? Could they possibly help you? Any chance your parents or maybe your fiance can help? You don't have to do this alone! And remember that we're always here to offer advice and encouragement whenever you need it. :-)
