To start off, I'm not engaged. I post here occasionally (I'm usually over on NEY) but I'd like some other students' perspectives.
I've been going back and forth about grad school. For awhile I was decided that I wouldn't go to grad school. I would work while BF was doing grad school and eventually I would go back and get my teaching license. If I choose to do this, I will have to pay for school all on my own.
Well now I've found a program at my school (which I love) that would allow me to get a master of arts in teaching (emphasis on elementary education) even though my bachelor's degree isn't in education. Its a two year program and if I did it I would really prefer to go straight into the program after I finish my undergrad instead of taking a break, also my parents would be willing to pay for it as long as I'm getting a masters and not taking a break.
Now I'm torn on the time line that BF and I have been discussing - getting married after we were both done with our undergrad. and before BF went to grad. school. I want to get married once we are done with our undergrads but if we are both in grad school at the same time I feel like it would be a better decision to wait until we are 100% done with school but that means probably an extra 3 years of waiting. What do you girls think? I'm not making any decision right away but I would just like some opinions while I think things over.
