Newly Engaged, New Here

Hi! My name is Amy. I just got engaged three weeks ago to my boyfriend of two years and best friend of 15. We are neighbors and grew up inseperable. I just wanted to introduce myself on here. I know I will need to the support since I am planning a wedding and going to school. I just graduated with my bachelor's degree in history and I am hoping to get into this MAT program where I can get my teaching degree. It's ALOT of work but I am actually looking forward to the challenge. Just wanted to say hi!

    Welcome to the baord!!!
  • Hello and welcome! Smile  I am an Agriculture Education major.  I student teach in the Fall, graduate in December, and getting married on September 4th.  FYI about the boards in general: some people will be very rude if they disagree with your idea/opinion, and will never actually a question that you may have.  You will have to learn to ignore those people, which can be a struggle, and focus on the responses you get that actually answer your question.  Good luck with your wedding planning and school!  Smile

She is right on the money! I have seen my fair share of them. Like she said, just ignore them. Some people take the boards a little too seriously. <img src="http://cdn.cl9.vanillaforums.com/downloaded/ver1.0/content/scripts/tinymce/plugins/emotions/images/smiley-tongue-out.gif" border="0" alt="Tongue out" title="Tongue out" />
  • congrats. i'm a student also not as far in as you.. i'm still in my second year.. about to get engaged .. he says anywhere between 1-3 months form now.. but we plan on having a long engagement about 2 yearrs. so i'll have my bachlores degree for my wedding day but i'll still have a year or two of school left while i'm married.... but i gave my self plently of time to plan this way come midterms and finals i can feel free to put the planning aside and focus on my work. . i'm very excited but no rush .. once the engagment is official i think family and friends will treat you fiance like your husband anyway and its probably the best time of your llife ..beinging engaged.. all he excitement and planning.. .. at least i think it 'll be fun ..
    good luck
  • Congratulations and welcome!!!
