Hi all!

My name is Sarah & my FI is Jason... Im right outside of the DC area and getting married May 30, 2010! To top it all off, I graduate May 8th with my BS in Psychology! After that I'm hoping to go into psychiatric nursing.

It's nice to know other brides are trying to juggle school AND planning a wedding! It's no cake walk!

AH! I have been around on other boards for awhile and am super happy to find this! I am planning my wedding while working on a BSN (Nursing!) It's awesome to find other people who not only have to do school and plan but are other broke college/grad students who have to plan and pay tuition at the same time so all the amazing ideas here hopefully arn't as pricy as a few other boards.

Sarah - I understand about the 'pricey' ideas; I've seen people suggest $400 shoes and my eyes just about bug out of my head.

Laura, I'm glad its not just me! I wonder what reality some people live in when they think their $10,000 budget is small... Obviously not one where rent, tuition, and the dress(flowers, rings, food, music, invites....) all come out of the same tiny little minimum wage pay-check. Yay amazing broke college kid years!

I went to a school with a lot of rich kids, so I suppose I should be used to it after hearing things like, "You mean not everyone has a housekeeper?" but it's still surprising to me to see people telling OPs that they should 'splurge' on a $10k dress or $600 shoes because it's their special day.  I mean, sure, if you have the budget, that's fine, but it's sort of crazy to assume other people can/should do the same!
