I had to stop in the registrar's office the other day for an internship credit form and the lady seemed nice so I thought I would just ask about what the rules for getting my married name on my diploma was. I explained that my issue would be that I'd be married before I graduated but would be unable to go back to my home state (NJ) to go through the whole legal process of changing my name before graduation.
BUT!!! She said they would just take the marriage certificate!
I know it seems a trivial but it's a small victory in our planning, which says a lot given what butts my Uni can be about things. Plus now we'll get to walk together at graduation!
