I am currently working on a manuscript that will be published in either the fall or winter this year. I am trying to decide how I will be addressed for my degree. My fiance and I will be married before I get my doctorate, but I will be published before we get married.
My thought was that I would keep my maiden name for professional paperwork because my dream job is to work as a psychologist in corrections and I would prefer that they (the convicts) would not know where my family actually lives, so that I could keep my kids safer. If I keep my maiden name for professional reasons then all of the publications I have will all be under the same name.
What are you all planning on doing?
