My finance and I have only been engaged a month and aren't getting married until Summer 2013 and I already an stressed out. We're book in college (undergrads), both want to go to grad school, and our moms are being polar opposites about the wedding planning. His mom has already bought me a planner, found a few venues and sent me a guest list. My mom doesn't even want to talk wedding until at least a year out. On top of being pulled in two directions (to plan or ignore being engaged?!) I found out that I may be in school longer than expected and my finance and I are struggling to find grad schools that are close and have our programs (me, clinical psychology; him, food science/flavor chemistry). Plus the stress of 1.) how to pay for grad school and a wedding (although his mom is hinting that she's willing to day but she hasn't actually said it or given a budget/estimate of what she's willing to pay) or how we can survive with us both in school!!
How is anyone else staying sane?
