Transportation $$$

I'm not sure when exactly I need to book our transportation...wedding is June 5 so about 7 months left. I'm trying to update my budget/timeline before I start calling places. Could you gals give me some figures for transportation? We will need to fit probably 12-14 people total. Thanks!Orysia

How many hours?  I have a transportation excel file with different places I called and their prices.  I was looking for one that held 12 and one larger (30 people or so) shuttle for the guests.  So prices for both of those are in there.  If you want 3 hours or less, and don't care if it is super flashy, consider Hopkins Transportation Service.  (www.gohopkins.com)  We used them for our shuttle for the guests and it was something like $80/hour (3 hour minimum).  They are nice and clean, just not too flashy.  We used Rockin Cleveland for our smaller 14 person shuttle.  It was more expensive though.

We used All Occassion - we had 12 people and a typically limo (i.e. not the limo bus).  Our cost was $75/hour and we used them for 5 hours, so the total was $375... of course, that doesn't include the tip.  As for booking - everyone has different experiences.  I got married in August and started calling places in May, to find that they were completely booked.  I got lucky was All Occassion had one limo left!  It's always better to book earlier rather than later.  Plus, if you book before the end of 2009, they may give you 2009 rates instead of 2010 (it's worth a shot anyway!).  GL!

We used a 14 passenger SUV limo from Shima Limo. It turned out nice & I think it was about $400 for 4 hours, including tax & tip. We booked in May for our August wedding, and it seemed to work out fine.

All occasion limo....is this a private or national company? I'm finding a national company but I want to make sure I have the right website. Thanks!

We used the Retro Rider and I think it was about $550 for 4ish hours?  It was a huge hit with the wedding party!
