Hello y'all

So I figured I 'd introduce myself on here since this board seems to have many kindred spirits of mine. I'm currently in my fourth year of undergrad and unfortunately have one more year left after this. I'm hoping I can make it through alright because I'm really getting burnt out on school. I've actually been engaged for about a year but only really gotten into the whole planning stuff a couple of months ago. I'm definitely going to have a long engagment but I'm fine with that. I just wish school would hurry up and end.

  • Welcome!!

You're not alone in wishing school would end-- I graduate next December and I'm more excited for that than I am for my wedding (okay, kind of!).

I hope your last year goes well and happy planning!

  • Hi :)
    I'm new too.
I'm a third year undergrad, and like faithcaitlin, I graduate in December 2012 . And, I'm SO ready for it to be over, so you're not alone.

  • I was a fifth year senior, too! I definitely don't regret taking a year and a half off before starting grad school. Do you have a date set on your wedding yet?

  • Hi! Welcome to the boards! I am a fourth year student as well getting an undergrad degree in psychology. My mom has actually done alot of my planning lol, which is fine with me bc I wouldn't have known where to start. My wedding is July 17 of this year and we are getting married on the Plaza! We are so close to getting everything done, we just need to finalize the ceremony with our minister and take engagement pics!! Wheen is your wedding? Happy planning- let us know if you need any suggestions!Wink

  • Welcome!  I'm going to echo everyone else and say you're definitely not alone.  I graduate in a month with a BS in Biology, and I'm so freaking done it's not even funny.  We're talking epic amounts of procrastination and apathy.

My FI and I are doing the long engagement thing too!  When are you thinking about?  We're planning for 2014 right now, since that's when I should be done with my masters.  :-)

  • Well right now we know the wedding will be in the fall, just not sure on the year yet. Right now I'm an English ed major, but I'm debating on dropping the Ed part and just getting my BA in English (long story). If I do that, I'll be out by end of next December. But I want to wait til I find a semi-decent job and we get our own apartment before we set a wedding date.

  • Welcome Welcome! I'm a 4 1/2 year senior haha.  But welcome! I know I want school to end now but I have to wait until December 15th lol. (Then my crazy arse is going to grad school!!) My advice is just take one day at a time :] My mom and I are doing most of the wedding planning so we have it under control! Jusrt take deeeeeeeeeeeep breaths and if a spa day is in the budget, DO IT! Even a simple pedi can keep ya calm from school and wedding crap! haha
  • I am also wanting school to be over. I have one year left with my wedding the summer after graduation.  Just hoping time flies!
  • I guess I'm lucky in that I'm going to be done with school one month from today. And seriously that is the only thing that is keeping me going right now school wise. I'm not even thinking about a wedding and I can't even imagine dealing with the extra stress on top of all the stress graduating brings. yikes!
