hydrangeas in july

I'm having some issues deciding on my flowers. My colors are black, white (well, ivory because of my dress), and turquoise. Originally, I was going to stick with all ivory roses, but now I'm afraid it will look flat and boring in the pictures.I found a picture of  blue bouquet, but then found out they were hydrangeas - which I've heard do not do well in July because they need water. Should I risk having the hydrangeas anyway?I was also thinking of maybe doing ivory roses and adding some fuschia flowers and then doing a turquoise ribbon.Any other suggestions?  thanks ladies!

You flower choices, colors, and time of year are all similar to my wedding! I actually did have hydrangeas for my girls bouquets and they were just fine (on a pretty decently hot day - outdoor ceremony). Just make sure that the flowers have an oasis (source of water) to keep them from wilting. This will work well if you plan to try a ribbon around the handle (it will keep it covered). Feel free to check out my bio for photos.

I am sort of planning my whole them around the blue hydrangea. My girls' dresses are that a comlementary shade of blue and so are the rest of my colors. That flower will be the dominant flower in all of my bouquets. My wedding is in August which is the end of the season so I was told that I may have to pay a little more for them, but I don't care. I always dreamed of that flower and I will do whatever I need for it. I am even having them on my cake!
