Birth Control

Anyone try Nuvaring or anything similar?  I really think it's time for me to switch from the pill.  I just realized today that I haven't taken the pill since Sunday (I doubled up that day because I had forgotten Saturday's..I may have forgotten Friday's as well).  The pack is in a visible place yet I still forget.  I used to carry it in my purse and would forget as well.  It's definitely time to switch methods because I'm going to end up with an unplanned pregnancy.

I have a friend that tried it and she said it made her crazy. She ended up having it removed. Have you tried the shot? I think thats once a month

I was on the shot for 13 years on and off (mostly on).  I started worrying about the health risks and also that it would take a very long time for me to get pregnant so I switched to the pill in December.  I have also tried the patch.  Didn't like it at all.

Last time I screwed up majorly while on the pill we used condoms but it burned.  I tried more than once but they keep burning me down there.  I have never had an issue with them before.  My body is seriously going whacky.

I was on NuvaRing for a year and I did fine with it.  I used it to regulate my cycle only though.  You put it in for 3 weeks and take it out for the 4th week.  You also take it out when you have sex.

Maybe its the type or brand of condoms you're using that are causing the burn. Alot of women do or can develope an allergy to latex so maybe thats what is happening with you.

Sounds like you have developed a latex allergy...

One of my friends had the Nuvaring and wound up getting pregnant. She suffered a bad miscarriage though.

OK so Nuva Ring is out.  New brand of condoms in...that's the only choice I have left unless I start charting which I know I will screw up.  :(

I wonder if the lower back pain I've been experiencing is a side effect of not taking the pill.  I am NOT liking almost being 30.

I know they make condoms that are latex free. Try that and see if it helps.

How about an IUD... I had one implanted about 2 years ago and have not had any problems.

I still vote depo! its only once every three months. I've also noticed that the older I get the quicker my period comes when I get off of it...

IUD!!  That's what I wanted to research!  Thanks.  I couldn't remember what it was called.I may go back on the shot after a baby MC but they only recommend being on it for 2 years because of the health issues that may arise so it started worrying me.  I was on it for 13 years!

I really really want to but that whole bone density loss thing started scaring me.  Andrew told me to take iron or calcium...whatever it is and I told him that how will I do that if I can't even remember to take the BCP!
