this is so sad.. jon and i knew him, we weren't close friends with him, but we ran into him a few weeks before the wedding. it's just really sad :(http://blogs.pe.com/news/digest/2009/08/man-dies-when-pickup-overturns.html

    it's obviously not safe to go offroading, but i heard everyone else was wearing their seatbelt.. so always wear your seat belt, i guess.

    Yeah I read about that yesterday, seat belts are so important, granted they dont always work but its still so important to wear them. His poor family he was so youngThat is really sad and scary :0(

    did you know him syl? he worked at the med center. he went to school with jon and its just weird cause he was sooo young. my brothers gf's ex was in the car.. i can't even imagine.

    I lost a good friend in high school because he wasnt wearing his seatbelt and I never really got over it. Now I am super crazy about them and wont ride in cars if people arent wearing them.

    No, I didnt know him Thats so scary :0( My oldest was just showing me pictures of one of his friends in the hospital i guess the kids sister was driving I dotn know how they got in an accident but her car flipped like 6 times all she had was a few cuts n bruises but my sons friend was all banged up and bloody he's ok now but my God it could of been so much worse :0(

    i just can't get over it, i am really sad.. and i have only hung out with him a couple of times but the loma linda circle is pretty small so everyone knew him plus he was just a really nice, laid back kind of guy.i'm a seatbelt monitor too.. i never understood why people don't wear them.

    DW doesn't wear her seatbelt a lot and it drives me insane.  She also pulls away from the curb before everyone is buckled in.  She thinks she and the people she loves are invincible.  All it takes is a second for someone to get hurt.
