Getting my a$$ reamed

by a homeowner.  So, most homeowners could care less about us struggling to get our $ back from their mortgage company.  The one I'm on the phone with acted like she was blowing off the entire thing so I sent her a notice stating we were going to lien and to send the paperwork requested.  The mortgage company has been giving me the run around anyway.  The homeowner got the letter and is PISSED!!!  And asking why I didn't call her, etc.  Well, I have and she said they were giving her the run around as well.  I waited a week to see if the $ came in and it didn't so I sent the letter.  OK, we finished work back in April!!  So now she wants to speak to one of the owners.  Great.  Good thing the other owner was the one that said to start the lien process...but still, I may get talked to for this one.

    Ok so maybe my ADD is on overdrive but why would u get to talked to about this? You've tried making contact with the mortgage company and the homeowner.

    The owner she wants to speak to gets over emotional at times.  I spoke to his mom (she's part owner as well) and she is totally backing me up and said lien them anyway!  HAHAHA.  We are within our legal right to do so since we do not been paid for our services.  $11,000 worth!

    It seems like you were doing what youre supposed to do and what your boss(es) expect from you. So I cant imagine why your boss wouldnt back you up. I think it will all be just fine :)

    She's also works at State Farm which is the insurance company that she had the claim with.  I was worried that may be an issue but it's not.  YAY!She also started to bring my SIL into the conversation (she's a marketer here) but was interrupted.  I was going to tell her leave the family relations out of this.  It's business, no need to bring up that I am related to some people here.

    They were pushing me to lien them a long long time ago but I refrained.  The owner she wants to speak to is the construction side boss and you never know what his mood is going to be.  My boss and the admin side owner (his mom) agreed to wait until tomorrow to give him the message because he was irate about some other customer already.  They always back me up but it had me wondering if I did something wrong.  Should I have made more contact?  They seemed to blow the whole thing off so I made minimal contact with them and handles the situation best I could on my own.  On top of that she knew what was going on when I spoke to her Friday.

    I don't think you did anything wrong from the sound of it. If you get in trouble that is BS. First, they told you to do the lein, so you were following instructions given to you, and if you guys finished in April that is a good 6 months that they had to pay it. It isn't like it has only been a month and you jumped the gun on it. You gave them long enough to pay the money.
