I'm headed to my Dr. Appt. Let's pray that the doctor tells me that the baby is going to come in the next 2-3 weeks, instead of 5 weeks.  I'm really ready for him to be out of me.

aww. I always imagine how uncomfortable it would be to be pregnant in the summer heat. Are you going to miss being pregnant at all?

The doctor was grumpy as all get out today.  I think she was upset with her nurse (I don't know what they call them, the girls who take vitals and stuff--nurses?).  Anywho, the girl was making mistake after mistake, so we got to see the grumpy doctor.  She said everything looked great!  She wanted me to take off from work starting August 30th, and I wanted to go out starting the 14th of Sept. So, we compromised for me to go out on the 8th of September, which is 3 weeks before my due date. But, I know I need to take care of myself and do what's best for the baby. I'm tired all the time and feel that 2 more weeks at school should be enough.

So is that normal to be taken out of work before pregnancy?  I was in the military when I was pregnant so things were way different for me.  I worked up until the day I gave birth.

I think it really depends on the individual.  I wanted to try to work up to my due date, but some people have to go out early for a multitude of reasons. Right now I am having trouble with my asthma, I have a harder time moving, and she wants me off my feet as much as possible, which is hard to do with being a teacher.She told me that I am still so tiny and that he doesn't have much room to move so I am feeling everything. My husband thinks it's best because I'm not sleeping well, I am swelling, and he feels that I should be getting as much rest and not stress with work.

Well you might feel differently in a few weeks! You may be happy to have that extra week off I can't believe he is almost here!

Oh gotcha!  I completely understand.  You definitely will want the time off.  I used to be able to go home at 12pm everyday and it was awesome.  It helps so much when you're big and swollen and have back pain.  Seriously your pregnancy has flown by!

thats so exciting! the extra time off will be a nice chance to get some extra sleep... you wont be getting much of that after he gets here! it really does seem like just yesterday you told us all you were pregnant.

even if he says that the baby is not comming early still keep hope because my dr said i wasn't going to be early and then that following week i had him...2 weeks before the due date!!! im excited for you!! and yeah you will miss being pregnant, i know i do now.

I think it's awesome that you love your job that much Rebecca, but I agree with DH and the Doctor! You need to relax! Baby Pierce is going to need a well rested Mommy :)Hope he arrives soon! BTW how was your shower? Wasn't it last weekend or is it today? I can't remember lol
